Modern Drapery: Art + Anthropology

Modern Drapery is a discussion about the Diaspora through a global perspective. We executed this by including models from Africa and/or of African descent, using fabrics from or inspired by the Diaspora, as well as traditional clothing and uniforms from cultures around the world.

The jewelry capsule collection by Zelma Rose + Jillian Knox brings this full circle by incorporating African trade beads of bone and glass sourced from Kenya and other parts of Africa. It is this idea of combining Art + Anthropology to show the importance of the history and diversity of the human experience, and the role it plays in our world today.
